Safeguarding
“Give justice to the weak and dispossessed; defend the rights of the poor and suffering.” Psalm 82:3
As an inclusive Church of England school, Saint Gabriel’s College is committed to helping every child flourish and fulfil their God-given potential. Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students lies at the heart of this mission.
At SGC we ensure that safeguarding and child protection underpins every aspect of or our processes and policy development. We always operate with the best interests of each individual child at heart and we will never treat a child as a means to an end. Where there is a safeguarding concern, a child’s wishes and feelings are always taken into account before we decide what action to take and what services to provide. The systems we have in place are well promoted, easily understood and easily accessible for children to confidently report abuse, knowing their concerns will be treated seriously, and knowing they can safely express their views and give feedback.
